Ling Yanxia was born in Yanshan county on May 5th, 2004. But soon she was abandoned by her parents and sent to the Shangrao CWI. She was taken good care by her foster parents and workers during her one year life in the CWI. Till April in 2005, Ling Yanxia’s desnity produced a second significant turn that she was adopted by an American loving family.

Now 13-year-old Ling Yanxia, accompanied by her parents, got back to the strange but familiar “big family” which also once nourished her. On the day of her return visit, the director and workers of the CWI received this special “family”. They hanged the welcome banner in advance and hoped the return family could feel the enthusiasm from their “family” as soon as they entered the CWI.

In the CWI, the adoption family also met the girl's foster parents and the kind person who found the girl. They recollected the past life together and they were all quite moved.

Ling Yanxia decided to write down her feeling about this return visit in the CWI's visitors book.

The director even teached her how to write her Chinese name hand by hand.

Having visited the whole CWI, the worker of the CWI shared a lunch with the adoption family. Afterwards, following the step of the person who found the little girl, the family came back to Ling Yanxia’s birthplace--Yanshan County and took pictures in the place where Ling Yanxia was picked up.
