2017 China Heritage Tours to HuangGang

Travel Date: Jul 27th, 2017

The Huanggang SWI ushered the return visit trip of a Danish family on July 27th.

Ole and his wife dwelt in Denmark, and they successively adopted two daughters from the Chuzhou CWI of Anhui province and Huanggang SWI of Hubei province in 1998 and 2001. Now more than ten years past, two girls have grown to be lovely and graceful ladies. In the meantime, their desire to go back to their birthplaces are increasing day by day. Ole believe it is time to bring his daughters back to their homeland so as to explore Chinese culture and beautiful scenery and meet their loved ones who took care of them.

On that morning of the return trip, our guide gathered together with the adoptive family in Wuhan hotel and then drove them to head for the Huanggang SWI. After a one hour and 45 minutes drive, the adoptive family finally arrived in the place where the younger daughter Lotus (whose Chinese name is Huang Gangjun) once stayed -- the Huanggang SWI.

Having entered the SWI, the adoptive family first saw the "Warmly Welcome the Huang Gangjun family" captions flowing on the LED display screen of the SWI. The SWI director introduced the whole situation of the Huanggang city, then the vice director doubling as the director of the CWI briefed them on the situation of the CWI. The family gave the gifts they brought to the staff and introduced their family information.

Soon afterwards, under the leadership of the staff, the family visited each floor of the CWI including the dormitories of children of all ages, playroom and lobby. They chatted briefly with those children and were very satisfied with the modern facilities of the CWI and the staff’s tender care of orphans.

Then the family invited the director and the staff to enjoy lunch with them.

After lunch, the staff of the SWI accompanied the family to visit the place where Lotus was picked up -- the gate of former Huanggang health school.

Having bowed farewell to the staff of the SWI, the return trip of the Danish family to the Huanggang SWI was brought to a successful conclusion.
