2018 Summer Heritage Tour with Kunming CWI Visit

June was during the summer vacation time, Tammy and her husband brought their two daughters adopted from China back to the homeland. Among them, the eldest daughter came from the Kunming CWI which was the place she lived at the beginning of her life.
In order to let the daughter know better about her birthplace, the adoptive family stayed in Kunming for three days. During this period, they visited some main tourist attractions in Kunming and experienced the cultural quintessence of this city.


The third day is the day to return visit the orphanage. Tammy told us that they wanted to look through their daughter's records during the visit and met with the foster family. Through the coordination, all these were realized. As Tammy put it, it's even more than their expectations.
In the early morning, the adoptive family went to the Kunming CWI accompanied by our guide.


The staff in the CWI had a gracious talk with the adoptive family. They exchanged the living conditions of the child before and after being adopted. The director gave the child a beautiful present and said to her, "The Kunming CWI is your home and will always welcome you".

Afterwards, in the company of the CWI staff, they visited the place where the child had been taken good care of, the foster family.  

The foster mother specially prepared some snacks for their coming, and even bought a new suit for the child.

The return visit tour in Kunming was ended. Tammy mentioned in the feedback to us, "This tour was wonderful. Everyone was really friendly. We felt very welcomed here".
