9 Days China Heritage Tours including KunMing CWI Visits

Travel Date: Jul 30th, 2018

On July 25th, with aircraft landing, Hogan family arrived in China and started their 9-day China heritage tour. During this period, the adoptive family toured the major tourist attractions in Beijing including the Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall, etc. Soon afterwards, they took airplane to reach Kunming where was the birthplace of their younger sister Violet with the Chinese name of Guan Yuemin.
Guan Yuemin is a very nice name. Guan is a common surname shared by many children lived in the Kunming CWI, and Yuemin represents a happy and smart girl. This name given to the little girl by the Kunming CWI in 2011 was full of good expectations for her future life. Although she was abandoned after birth, love without borders. Little Yuemin was firstly taken the utmost care of by a foster family until more than one year old. In November 2012, Shelby and husband Kevin from America came to the Kunming orphanage to bring Yuemin back home for carefully raising after completing all adoption procedures.
July 30th is a big day to return visit the orphanage, so mother Shelby changed a beautiful Chinese cheongsam for little Yuemin. After breakfast, tour guide picked up the adoptive family from the hotel and accompanied them to the Kunming CWI. The staff there welcomed the adoptive family warmly and introduced the CWI situation and foster mother's information to them.
After lunch, in the company of the CWI staff, the adoptive family came to the AnNing foster village. Six years was not quite long enough, the foster mother still remembered the details of Yuemin's past life there. The adoptive family also specially prepared the growth album of their daughter, and everyone was chatting happily. The foster mother took out all kinds of fruits and snacks to entertain the adoptive family, this made them feel very warm.
Having finished the orphanage visit, the adoptive family also stayed in Kunming for two days to visit Ethnic Village, Flower&Fish Market, Green Lake, Golden Temple, Yuantong Temple and so on.
