China Orphanage Visit to NanPing CWI

On March 31th 2008, Iben and Andres couple from Denmark adopted a child Yan Xiaonian from Nanping CWI in Yanping district. Since then, the little boy had returned to the family life and grown up together with a sister owning the same destiny as him. Under the meticulous care of parents, Xiaonian had become a brave, strong and confident big boy. However, two children gradually found their differences from other children around them with age. Though parents would never try to hide the origins of the children, only a return visit tour could let them firsthand feel what the homeland and birthplace were really like.

On July 1st, a family of four started the their tour in China officially. They went sightseeing Beijing, Shanghai successively and came to the Yanping district CWI of Nanping via Fuzhou.

On the return visit day, the staff in the orphanage prepared beforehand fruits and snacks to welcome the coming of Yan Xiaonian family. The adoptive family visited the orphanage facilities and environment accompanied by the staff. There was a very moving picture that mother encouraged Xiaonian to hug a little baby in the CWI, but he seemed a little nervous. Seeing the little baby, would Xiaonian think of the scene that he had lived in the orphanage before?
