A Wonderful Visit to Kunming CWI

March 26, 2019 is a big day for the Howorth family. Three of them will return to Kunming Children's Welfare Institute, where the daughter Xiaocan once lived. In June 2006, Xiaocan was accepted by Kunming Children's Welfare Institute after being abandoned by her birth parents. Under the care of adoptive parents, Xiaocan spent the warmest time at the beginning of his life.

In the summer of the following year, after completing all the adoption procedures, the Howorths came to Kunming to bring Xiaocan back to the home in the United States. Since then, this little angel has finally been able to grow up healthily in a permanent family. Twelve years passed quickly, and the Howorth couple decided to take Xiaocan back to China to let her learn about birth country culture and build identity. We (LTC) are honored to organize this return visit for this family.

On the day of the return visit, the adoptive family received a warm reception at the Kunming Welfare Institute. They visited the orphanage, received gifts, met the adoptive parents, and re-connected with other people and places important to this family.
