2016 Private Kunming Heritage Tours
Dana and Charles couple adopted theirdaughter Amanda from Kunming CWI whose Chinese name is Han Panri in 2004. Jody,the friend of Dana couple also adopted her little girl Marguerite with theChinese name of Guan Rujing from the Kunming CWI at the same time. In order tohelp the two cute girls understand where they were from, their mother Dana andJody came to us for organizing a China Homeland Tour for them.
Due to the strong passion on giant panda bythe two girls, the two families paid a visit to Chengdu, the motherland ofpanda, for close contacting the giant pandas and learning how to paint giantpanda by themselves. Everyone also acquired their hand-painted panda T-shirt asthe best souvenir for this visit.
Having finished the Chengdu itinerary, thetwo families arrived in Kunming on June 26. After a night of resting, theyhurried to the Kunming CWI quite early in the morning with the feeling ofexcitement. The director and staff in the CWI welcomed the families warmly. Thedirector also held a small but cordial conversation in the meeting room. Thefamilies looked at the adoption records of Amanda and Dana.
Then the director lead them to visit theinner environment of the CWI. At the children’s playroom, Dana kindly held andfed the kid. Later the families shared a lunch with the working staff in the CWI. After the lunch, the families were drove to visit the place where Amanda andDana were picked up.
Afterwards, the family group also visitedthe Peace Adoption Village. In a villager’s house, Amanda and Dana played withthe children of the villager happily and they even climbed a tree to pick theripe fruit. Though the families were unwilling to leave, they had to drove backto the hotel as it was getting late.
In the following two days, our guide leadthe two families to go sightseeing the Stone Forest, Jiuxiang, Yunnan FolkwaysVillage, Western Mountain and Longmen ancient town. Everyone fully felt thebeautiful scenery and mystery culture in Yunnan. After the whole visit, ourguide sent the two families to leave Kunming on June 30.
