The climate in highland Tibet features the typical downy special climate, it is as varied as the terrain itself and temperatures vary greatly within a single day. In southeastern Tibet, the climate is gentle and temperate with the average temperature of eight degrees; in western Tibet, the average temperature is below zero degree; while in Lhasa and the central part of Tibet, it is the suitable place to travel for its normal and nice climate.

The best time to travel is from March to October, you will not feel too hot in summer or too cold in winter. The rain season starts from May to September, when the precipitation covers 90 percent of the whole year. The precipitations gradually decrease from lower part of southeast to the northeast. It is a special landscape in China.
