Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai and take early morning flight for Beijing. Met and transferred to your Hotel in Beijing.
Then our guide will wait you at the lobby and take you to enjoy the lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Tiananmen Square. It's the largest square in the world, encompassing an area of 14 hectares, and measuring 865 meters north to south, and 500 and 370 meters east to west on the northern and southern ends respectively.
Next visit Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. It is located in the center of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
After that, you may take a famous Beijing food-Beijing Roast Duck as dinner.
Meals: Lunch, DinnerDay 2 Beijing
First you will climb Mutianyu Great Wall, which is the best preserved section of the Great Wall. Climb up the Great Wall, well-known for the longest defense wall in the world.(Cable Car is optional).
After lunch, visit Ming Tombs – Dingling, the mausoleum of Emperor Yongle who was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty. He was the most famous historical figure among the Ming Emperors.
Also you will visit the Longdi Superior Jade Gallery. It's a tourist bus stop on the way to the Great Wall. It was designed to feed tour groups in an attached restaurant and then hold them captive inside a sales exhibition warehouse after the set meal. (30 minutes)
Finally you will have an outdoor scene of the National Swimming Center. It’s one of the most dramatic and exciting venues to feature sporting events for the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
When tour is over, you will be transferred back to your hotel by tour guide and driver.
Day 3 Beijing to Shanghai
In early morning visit the Temple of Heaven, the sacred altar for worshiping the God of Heaven in the world. Watch local people playing Taichi morning exercises.
Take a rickshaw ride to visit old Hutong, you can see the ancient Beijing lanes and quadrangle houses that have been preserved for 700 years.
After the tour, transferred to Beijing South Station and take G-train back to Shanghai. After you arrive in Shanghai, our driver will pick you up and take you back to hotel or apartment.

I am planning a visit in May, how many days is the official labour day holidays? would it be too crowded?

The official Labor's Day lasts from May 1 st to May 3rd. It is really a high season for traveling. You can choose a later time or book your hotels in advance, everything will be OK.

I would like to know if it is easy to find Halal food around Beijing? How about the cost as compared to normal foods?
