Tour Route: Beijing
You will be led to the Dashilan Old Street, the oldest downtown area in Beijing, Tiananmen Square acting as the symbol of Beijing and the largest city center square and the Forbidden City. Reasonable tour arrangement and meals will add more relaxation!
Welcome to our capital city, Beijing. Our guide, who holds the sign Lead to China will take our greeting to you. You will be met and transferred to hotel by our warm hearted tour guide and driver. Free on your own at the rest of the day. You will begin your private Beijing tour tommorrow.
Day 2 Beijing
Visit all famous attractions in downtown Beijing. Activities at night: The Legend of Kung Fu. The best Kungfu show is the show at the Red Theatre, it combines Kungfu with exquisite ballet and music.
Tiananmen Square
The largest city square in the world, including Tiananmen Rostrum, the symbolic landmark of Beijing and China and other main buildings such as National Museum of China, Great Hall of the People, parliament building of China, etc.
Summer Palace
This is the largest and most complete imperial garden existing in China. It was first built in the 12th century as an imperial palace. Renovations and extensions in the following several hundred years till the end of the 19th century transformed it into the scale we see today.
Forbidden City
The Forbidden City (Imperial Palace) in the heart of Beijing is the largest and most complete imperial palace and ancient building complex in China. Its construction began in 1406. Twenty four emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1644-1911) lived and ruled China from here.
Peking Roast Duck Dinner: With its long history, Peking roast duck is well known among both domestic and overseas customers. The duck is hung in the oven and roasted by flame burning from fruit-wood. It takes about 45 minutes for the duck to be done. The finished duck is characteristic with crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Kungfu show
The Legend of Kung Fu is a unique show in the
Red Theatre. It celebrates the philosophy and skill of the Kung Fu
martial arts through a unique story-line, dramatic design, choreography
and breath-taking music. This show breaks the traditional Kung Fu mold.

Day 3 Beijing
The highlight today is the Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling, you might walk up and down the Wall on foot, or take cable car one way or round trips. The extra cost of cable car (RMB 50 one way) will be at your own cost.
Ming Tombs (Changling) Between 1368 and 1644 the Ming Dynasty had 16 emperors, and thirteen of them were buried in Beijing. This is where the tombs got their names from. The Ming tombs are located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing.
Mutianyu Great Wall
The Mutianyu Great Wall is 73 km from Beijing and has 22 watchtowers, about one every kilometer. A 4,000 meter long pathway has been constructed from the road to the summit. It can also be reached by cable car.
Day 4 Beijing
Go further into local lanes and areas where local Beijingers live. The ricksaw tour to old Hutongs is the highlight today.
The must-see area of Beijing Zoo is the famous Panda House, You can see lovely Giant Panda and lesser panda. Lakes and gardens abound in the zoo complex which is a weekend destination for families.
Lama Temple
The Lama Temple, northeast of downtown Beijing, is the most famous Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet and was visited by past Dalai and Panchen Lamas (as well as one current-day Chinese-appointed Panchen Lama).
The Temple of Heaven was built in the 15th century, a sacred site for ancient Beijing. This was where the emperor and his 1000 member entourage would retreat to for religious rituals twice a year. It is considered as the most supreme achievement of traditional Chinese architecture.
Hutong Tour by Rickshaw
Rickshaws are actually three wheeled bicycles often driven by old, retired men. There are fleets of them circling around the TianAnMen square area, and they are always willing to take passengers. It is nice to take a ride around the square in the evening.
Day 5 Beijing
Free time in the morning. Later today you will be transferred to Beijing airport for your flight to next destination.

My mum is already 65. Does it matter that my mum climb the Great Wall with me?

Yes. You can go to Badaling, which is easier for climbing. Taking a cable car and lookover any Great Wall is more comfortable. And if permitted, you can book a private car.

I am exploring the possibility of going on a China Yangtze River cruise with a group of friends(over20),so can we enjoy any more discounts?

The Peking Opera Performance usually lasts about one and a half hours, we don't recommend you take your kid there because the Peking Opera Performance is noisy, I'm afraid it's not good for kids.
