2017 Heritage Tours to Chongqing Fuling SWI
On June 28th, the Fuling No.1 SWI of Chongqing province welcomed the return visit from an American adoptive family.
In 2002, the newborn Sara was abandoned by her birth parent for some reason. Then she was sent to the Fuling SWI for bringing up. At that time Donalyn and her husband across an ocean was planing to adopt a kid from China. And then fate made them a warm family.
On June 21th, a family of three arrived in China and started their 9-day China heritage tour. They visited the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and other historical interests in Beijing. In Chengdu, they took part in the Dujiangyan Panda Volunteer service to be in close contact with the giant pandas. In Chongqing, they returned to where Sara once stayed -- the Fuling SWI.
On the day of the return visit, the workers in the SWI receipted the family warmly. The adoptive family read through the previous records of their child and visited the facilities and environment of the SWI.
Sara and her parents even tried to take care of the child living there. The scene was very moving.
Having experienced this return visit, Sara would understood China and her birthplace more deeply. We hope she could always own a grateful heart and live a happy life in the future.
