This 10-day China Heritage Group Tour takes you through Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin and Yangshuo, combining China’s must-see landmarks with local food, cultural experiences and everyday life along the way.
Walk the Great Wall, explore imperial Beijing, step into ancient Xi’an, get closer to giant pandas in Sichuan, and finish among the mountains, rivers and countryside of Yangshuo.
For adoptees and families who would also like to return to an orphanage or birthplace, a private heritage journey can be arranged before or after the group tour.

Beijing
Your local guide will meet you at Beijing International Airport and accompany you to your hotel by private vehicle. Assistance with hotel check-in is included, giving you time to settle in and rest after your journey.

Beijing
Begin at Tiananmen Square before entering the Forbidden City, where grand courtyards and palace halls offer a closer look at imperial Beijing. Around midday, continue to the hutongs and visit a local family, where you will learn to make dumplings and enjoy lunch together.
After lunch, explore the neighborhood by rickshaw and on foot for a closer look at traditional hutong life. Return to your hotel in the afternoon, with the rest of the day free for your own plans.

Beijing
Visit the Temple of Heaven, exploring its historic halls and grounds once used for imperial ceremonies. Along the way, you may also see local residents practicing tai chi, dancing or exercising in the surrounding park.
Continue to the Mutianyu Great Wall, taking the cable car up and down and enjoying time to walk along this beautifully restored section of the Wall. Return to Beijing for a Peking duck dinner together.

Beijing → Xi’an
Explore the Summer Palace, where pavilions, bridges and covered corridors surround Kunming Lake. Take a boat cruise on the lake for another view of the imperial gardens and surrounding scenery.
After lunch, board a high-speed train to Xi’an. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and accompany you to your hotel.

Xi’an
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and see the remarkable army created for China’s first emperor, with thousands of figures differing in expression, clothing and detail. Back in Xi’an, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and take part in a Hanfu experience with traditional clothing and historical-style makeup.
In the evening, explore the Tang Dynasty City, known for its illuminated streets, Tang-style architecture and evening performances.

Xi’an → Chengdu
Walk along Xi’an’s Ancient City Wall for a wider view of the city and a sense of the defenses that once surrounded it. Continue to the Muslim Quarter, exploring its busy streets while sampling traditional Xi’an dishes and local snacks.
After lunch, continue to Chengdu by flight or train. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and accompany you to your hotel.

Chengdu / Wolong
Visit Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base for an in-depth look at giant panda care and conservation. Learn about the pandas’ daily routines and the work involved in caring for them, then enjoy lunch in the staff canteen and make a panda cake using ingredients prepared for the pandas.
The experience concludes with a participation certificate and souvenir. Return to Chengdu, with the evening free for your own plans.

Chengdu → Guilin
Spend the morning at People’s Park, where teahouses, mahjong games, dancing, traditional ear-cleaning services and other everyday activities are part of the local scene. Enjoy a cup of Chinese tea and experience Chengdu’s relaxed pace of life.
Later, continue to Guilin by flight or high-speed train. Your local guide will meet you on arrival and accompany you to your hotel.

Guilin → Yangshuo
Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo along the Li River, passing karst peaks, bamboo groves and changing river landscapes along the way. In Yangshuo, explore the countryside by bicycle, with Moon Hill and the Big Banyan Tree among the landscapes along the route.
End the day on West Street, where cafés, shops and local snacks bring a lively atmosphere as evening falls.

Yangshuo
Spend your final morning enjoying a hands-on cooking experience. Visit a local market with your chef and guide to select fresh ingredients, then prepare your chosen dishes and enjoy the meal together.
Later, continue to Guilin airport or railway station, where the 10-day group tour ends. A private orphanage or birthplace visit can be arranged separately before or after the group tour.

Where you stay matters, especially when you have time to explore on your own. We select comfortable hotels for their location and character, not only for the stay itself.
Stay in the heart of Wangfujing, one of Beijing’s best-known shopping and dining areas. Restaurants, shops and metro connections are within easy reach, making it convenient to explore Beijing during your free time.
Located within Xi’an’s historic Ming Dynasty city walls, the hotel puts you close to the old city and major landmarks. The Bell and Drum Towers, Great Mosque and City Wall are around a 15-minute walk away, with metro connections also nearby.
Your hotel becomes part of the Chengdu experience. With distinctive Tibetan-inspired design and cultural details throughout the property, Tibet Hotel offers something beyond a standard city hotel, while remaining convenient for exploring Chengdu.
Located beside Rong Lake in the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, the hotel offers a quieter lakeside setting while remaining within easy reach of central Guilin’s shopping, dining and sightseeing areas.
Finish the journey beside the Li River at the foot of Green Lotus Peak. The hotel is close to Yangshuo’s historic West Street, making it easy to step out and explore the town, restaurants and shops on your own.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. A further 50% is due 90 days before departure, with the final 40% due 30 days before departure.
