2018 China Heritage Tour with Hengyang SWI Visit
This is a heritage tour of two adoptive families whose children are all from the Hengyang SWI.
Jane, the person chiefly in charge of this tour, had begun to plan the itinerary as early as 2017. through repeated communication and coordination, they joined the summer group tour which including Beijing, Xian and Chengdu.
Having waved goodbye to other families in Chengdu, they directly flew to the children's province of birth Hunan, and started a 4-day exploration there. The two families experienced the natural beauty of Zhangjiajie, visited the characterized ancient town Fenghuang in west Hunan province and then headed for Hengyang county via Fenghuang.
The orphanage visit is usually the most anticipated part of the whole heritage tour. On the return visit day, the adoptive families visited the site of the former Hengyang SWI. In the new SWI, they were warmly received. Then they went to see the places where the children were picked up. The entire return visit process went on smoothly as planned.
After the SWI return visit, they also went sightseeing in Guilin, Yangshuo and Guangzhou. Then they took a flight from Hong Kong back to the warm home.
