21 Days China Root Heritage Tour includes Shaoguan return visit

Travel Date: Jul 10th, 2019

On July 10, the Shaoguan City Welfare Institute welcomed a return visit of  an adopted child, Shao Fujia, and her family. She has been adopted by the Danish loving family for 13 years and returned to the place where she was born and once lived. This is an unforgettable and unusual day for Shao Fujia and the Shaoguan SWI.

On the day of the return visit, the tour guide picked the adopted family up  from a Guangzhou hotel and then drove to the Shaoguan orphanage.  The staff of the Shaoguan SWI warmly welcomed the adoption family.  Everyone was sitting around the table in the conference room.  The adoptive parents brought a well-prepared photo album that recorded the child's past growth experience and shared it with the staff of the orphanage. Seeing Shao Fujia's colorful life in Sweden, they are very gratified.

It is the common wish of every foreign adoptive family to visit the places where their children have lived and to take them to find their roots. Not only that, the root-seeking return visit is also conducive to the orphanage to understand the children's life and learning situation in the adoptive family, but also to deepen the communication and connection between each other.

In order to let  the two children have a deep understanding of the motherland, the adoptive family's return visit lasted for 21 days, during which they also visited Beijing, Xi'an, the Yangtze River and Guangzhou.
