A Grateful Return Trip to the Wuzhou SWI
Kathie, a little girl born in Guangxi province of China left the Wuzhou SWI she's living and began the/her family life following her adoptive parent in 2000.
18 years later, her adoptive father Bruce found us and put forward his wish of bringing the child back to the homeland. Through this return trip, they wanted to express their gratitude to those who took care of Kathie and look for the first imprint of her life.

On the return visit day, the director and staff in the Wuzhou SWI cordially received the adoptive family, and accompanied them to visit the SWI, look at the orphanage records etc.

Pictured here: the reunion image of Kathie and the nanny who once took care of her

As time goes by, these photos would record new good memories.

Before leaving the SWI, Kathie took out a crumpled small red envelop. This was the same red envelop the SWI gave her when she left the SWI in 2000, and there were 20 yuan in it at that time. During this tour, she put total 1000 yuan, which are saved pocket money bit by bit and earned from part-time job, into the red envelope accompanying her for the past 18 years, and then donated all to the SWI. The director in charge of the reception said that she received her donation almost full in tears and gave her a big red envelop in return as well.

Before proceed to finding site, the kind girl plucked a bougainvillea glabira in the SWI and kept it together with her childhood photo and current photo where she was abandoned, so as to cry goodbye to the past.
