A Return Trip to HuangMei SWI 2018

Travel Date: Jul 30th, 2018

More than a decade ago, Larry and Kathy Kohler adopted two girls from the Hefei SWI and the Huangmei SWI successively. They formed a complete family from then on.

In late 2017, Larry contacted LTC and started to make plans for their first return visit tour. Through communication, the family would arrive in and leave from Shanghai, pay return visits to the hometown and orphanage of the two children, and then go sightseeing in historic and cultural cities like Xian and Beijing.

Hefei and Huangmei respectively belongs to two neighbouring provinces in central China, Anhui and Hubei province. Having finished the Hefei SWI return visit, the younger daughter Emily in the company of her family took the high-speed railway to arrive in Wuhan which is the capital city of Hubei province. There, they visited Hubei Provincial Museum, Yellow Crane Tower and East Lake.

The next day, accompanied by the exclusive driver and guide, the adoptive family arrived in the Huangmei county. And there, they visited the Huangmei SWI and the place where Emily had been picked up. In order to show their appreciations, the adoptive family invited the orphanage staff to have a lunch together.
