China Root and Heritage Tours to YuLin CWI
On July 26th, the Yulin first SWI in Guangxi province welcomed the root-seeking return visit of a Dutch adoptive family.
A decade ago, Lucy (Chinese name: Hua Yuyuan) was adopted by Jose and husband from the Yulin SWI, and then brought back to the Dutch home for devotedly raise.
Now the little girl had grown up gradually. For purpose of letting Lucy have a first understanding of her origin and birthplace, the adoptive parents were determined to organize a China Heritage Tour in the summer vacation of 2018.
As one of the priorities in this heritage tour, the SWI return visit was highly anticipated by the adoptive family.
On the return visit day, the guide picked up the adoptive family from the hotel in Nanning and then they took high-speed railway (about 2 hours) to reach Yulin city. There the adoptive family visited the SWI where Lucy had stayed, looked over the records and saw the place where Lucy had been picked up. To improve the lives of children who were still lived in the SWI, the adoptive family donated one thousand yuan to the SWI.
