After you arrive in Shanghai, our local guide will pick you up and then drive to hotel for a good rest.
Day 2 Shanghai
In the morning, picked up by the guide, after warm greetings to you, you will begin your Shanghai day tour with a visit to Jingan Temple, famed as the oldest shrine in Shanghai(45 minutes). Afterwards, you will see the Jade Buddha Temple, home to two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea(40 minutes). Next you will pay a visit to the only ancient architectural complex combining temple and school in downtown Shanghai to worship China's great thinker and founder of the Confucian culture - Shanghai Confucian Temple(40 minutes).
Day 3 Shanghai to Putuoshan
Take a fast boat to Mt. Putuo, one of the four most well-known Buddhist mountains of China. Mt. Putuo is located in the Zhoushan Islands of Zhejiang Province. Legend has it that Guanyin, also known as Goddess of Mercy, once showed her bodily presence here and left a number famous historical sites. People have given the beautiful names to the island: Buddhist Paradise on the Sea, Land of Peach Blossoms and Mount of Immortals on the Sea. You will visit Fayu Temple built in the Ming Dynasty, Huiji Temple, Puji Temple built in the Northern Song Dynasty and Unwilling to Leave Nunnery and etc.
Day 4 Putuoshan to Ningbo
After breakfast you will go to Ningbo by fast boat, one of the industrial cities of Zhejiang Province and a city well-known for a long history of culture. You will visit Tianyige (the First Hall Under Heaven). It has survived from more than 400 years with its history, unique architecture design and particular valuable collections of ancient books and texts of past dynasties. You also will tour Seven Pagoda Temple, Moon Lake scenic area and Tianyi Square.
Day 5 Ningbo to Hangzhou
After breakfast, we drive to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is praised along with Suzhou as "paradise on earth". Enjoy a cruise on the beautiful West Lake with stops at a typical teahouse. Visit the centuries old Lingyin Temple, Mausoleum of General Yue Fei.
Day 6 Hangzhou to Qiandao Lake to Mt. Huangshan
Drive to the Thousand-Islet Lake. Take a cruise on the lake. You will tour the snake island, the monkey island and Xinan reservoir. The lake has been a popular tourist attraction and a home to more than 1800 varieties of plants and 2100 wild animals. In the afternoon you will drive to Mt. Huangshan, one of the four most famous mountains of China. In the evening you may take a walk at the Old Street of Tunxi, built in the Song Dynasty. Have a local flavor dinner.
Day 7 Mt. Huangshan
Mt. Huangshan is extolled for its "our Ultimate Beauties--unusual rock formations, pin trees, sea of clouds and hot spring. Take a cable car up to the top of the mountain for a sightseeing tour of the area. You will tour Flower-Dream out of a Writing Brush Rock, Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, the Magic Scenic Area, the Rock that Flew from afar,the Bright Light Peak and etc.
Day 8 Mt. Huangshan to Mt. Jiuhuashan
View the sun rise. Tour Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Hongcun Village known as the ¡§ cow-shaped village, inscribed on the List of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. More than 800 years old, the village was first constructed during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The Crouching Tiger and the Hidden Dragon was shot. Drive to Mt. Jiuhua.
Day 9 Mt. Jiuhua to Shanghai
Ksitigarbha(Dizang) (the Bodhisattva of Salvation) is enshrined on the mountain. Mt. Jiuhua is one of the four Buddhist shrines. You will visit the Centenarian Palace and the Precious Hall of the Bodhisattva Incarnate. You will descend the Mountain by cable. After dinner you will fly back to Shanghai via Mt. Huangshan.
Day 10 Shanghai
After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. End of tour.
