15 Days China Highlight Tour from Shanghai
Tour Route: Shanghai, Yangtze River, Lhasa, Xian, BeijingYangtze Cruise and Lhasa of Tibet are the most suitable summer resort in China. Besides, there are many colorful activities worthing to visit.
On arrival in Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to a downtown hotel for 2 nights stay.
Accommodation:
Day 2 Shanghai
Morning tour to the Shanghai Museum, and then visit the classical Yu Garden which was built in 1559 in both Ming and Qing styles. After lunch visit the Old Town and the Jade Buddha Temple. Evening Acrobatic Show has been arranged.
Day 3 Shanghai to Yichang
Morning at leisure in Shanghai. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yichang. Visit Chinese Sturgeon Museum. After dinner you will be transferred to your Cruises for a four night upstream cruise to Chongqing.
Day 4 Yangtze Cruising
Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam. Sailling through the Three Gorges Shiplocks, sailing through Xiling Gorge.
Day 5 Yangtze Cruising
Sailing through Wu Gorge, excursion to the Lesser Three, sailing through Qutang Gorge.
Day 6 Yangtze Cruising
Shore excursion of Fengdu or Wanxian.
Day 7 Chongqing to Lhasa
While arriving at Chongqing, you will be transferred to airport and take flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, met and transferred to the hotel for 3 nights stay in Lhasa.
Day 8 Lhasa
We start today’s tour from Potala Palace- the home of the Dalai Lamas, then move on to Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s summer palace. In the afternoon visit Jokhang Temple, the home of the most precious Buddha image the country possesses- the Sakyamuni Buddha. We also visit Barkhor Square in the center of Lhasa to absorb the local culture.
Day 9 Lhasa
Today we will visit the Drepung Monastery on the western outskirts of Lhasa. It was once the largest and the wealthiest in Tibet. In the afternoon visit Sera Monastery, which was once rival to the Drepung.
Day 10 Lhasa to Xian
You will be met and transferred for your flight to Xi’an.
Day 11 Xian
Full day tour to the mighty army of 8000 Terracotta Warriors, the Huaqing Hot Springs and Great Mosque, which is the largest Mosque in China. You will also spend some time looking around the Muslim Quarter.
Day 12 Xian to Beijing
Morning tour visit the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, take the afternoon flight to Beijing.
Day 13 Beijing
A day tour to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square, and the majestic Forbidden City, followed by the visit to the Panda Hall. You will then continue to the attractive Summer Palace and gardens. Peking Duck Dinner has been arranged this evening.
Day 14 Beijing
Morning visit the Ming Tombs, Changling of the Ming Tombs. Afternoon visit the magnificent and mammoth cultural phenomenon – Great Wall at Badaling. Have dinner in Old Beijing restaurant. Enjoy an evening of Chinese Culture with the Kungfu Show.
Day 15 Departure from Beijing
Met and transferred to the airport for your home country.
