Day 1 Guangzhou

Our local professional guide and experienced driver will expect you at the airport after your baggage reclaim and customs clearance, and then escort you to check in the hotel in downtown area.

Day 2 Guangzhou to Guilin

After breakfast, tour around Shamian Island: stop at the medical clinic where adoption medical exams are conducted and visit the photo shop where your child's visa photo was taken.
In the afternoon, take another trip down memory lane when you visit the American Consulate. Your guide will escort you to a local park where you can linger and relax while enjoying a story-time of traditional Chinese folktales to deepen your understanding of the rich cultural heritage of your child.
Take the late afternoon flight to Guilin and check in the hotel.

Day 3 Guilin to Yangshuo to Guilin

After breakfast, embark on a scenic cruise along the Li River and enjoy a delicious lunch onboard. The landscape of Guilin is noted as the most gorgeous in China, with sparkling clear waters and magnificent green hills; you will see fishermen fishing with their trained cormorant birds occasionally as well.
Have fun cycling in the countryside of Yangshuo to see Chinese rural life up close.
Yangshuo Countryside Cycling: See the poetic natural scenery of Yangshuo's countryside. Biking alongside the paddy fields and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China.
Free-time Ideas in Yangshuo:
It is flexible and convenient to add the interesting activities to enrich your experiences, such as learning Taichi, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese cooking and kayaking. Just ask your travel advisor, and let us do the rest.

Day 4 Guilin

Your guide will be waiting for in the lobby of your hotel, ready to guide you around the star sights of Guilin by private vehicle.
Elephant Trunk Hill: It is the symbol of Guilin and got its name because its shape resembles an elephant with its trunk drinking from the Li River.
Reed Flute Cave: The cave is regarded as the most impressive cave in Guilin. The bizarrely-shaped limestone formations look fantastic under colorful lights.
Then visit Seven Star Park. With elegant mountains, miraculous stone forest, deep and serene valleys, valued cultural relics, clear water and plentiful animals and plants, Seven Star Park becomes very popular since the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) Dynasties. It got its name from the seven peaks that are supposed to resemble the star pattern of the Big Dipper constellation.

Day 5 Guilin to Chengdu

After breakfast, your local guide and driver will bring you to the airport and arrange for your flight to Chengdu. After your arrival, you will have a free time to explore this city.

Day 6 Chengdu

We will arrange you to visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and see the pandas in the early morning. Every morning at about 8:30 to 09:00, the breeders will begin to feed the pandas. At that time all the pandas will come out for the breakfast. It is the very good chance for you to see more pandas, take pictures of them and also observe their own distinctive manners of eating bamboos. You will definitely be impressed.
After that, you will proceed to visit Jinsha Site Museum in the afternoon. Covering an area of 5 square kilometers, it is the historical remains of the Shang and Zhou dynasties (1700BC-221BC) focusing on the cultural relics' exhibit and the sacrificial site.

Day 7 Chengdu to Xian

Today you will fly from Chengdu to Xian, which is a cultural treasure trove of Chinese history. You may visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, where antiques from the Prehistoric era through the Qing Dynasty are on display. In the afternoon, visit Xian's ancient City Wall and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. This is the only intact city wall in China. Enjoy walking, exercising and riding a bike as a family.

Day 8 Xian

Embark on an amazing historical and cultural adventure today and begin with an exploration at the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, where you will find lifelike terracotta soldiers, horses, chariots and weapons created more than 2,000 years ago to guard the First emperor's tomb. Their vibrant painted details have worn away over time due to weathering, thus revealing their original earthy color.
Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda-- the very important Buddhism temple in Xian. (1 hour)
No Tricks (Big/Little) Pagoda –Other companies and large tour operators may take you to Small Wild Goose Pagoda(free admission) instead of the Big Wild Pagoda. We will never do that.

Day 9 Xian to Shijiazhuang

Depart Xian and travel to ShiJiaZhuang for an orphanage visit. Tour guides will sensitively and carefully assist your family as you embark on this most meaningful portion of your return trip. On this initial day of the city visit, one can spend time strolling around the area and absorbing a sense of the city and locale.

Day 10 Hebei Province

Your orphanage visitation typically includes a lunch meeting with the orphanage director and staff. If your family wishes to be in touch with the foster family, we can also arrange a time for you to reunite if contact information is available. After lunch, you may explore your child's finding site. Record the day's events in your journal or just relax with your family this evening.

Day 11 Shijiazhuang to Beijing

Today take some final glimpses around your child's province to capture your special memories. At late afternoon, depart for Beijing.

Day 12 Beijing

A buffet breakfast & real fresh coffee will kick start your day. Your private guide will be on time and waiting in arrivals.
First stop, Tiananmen Square. It is the third largest city square in the world. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history. (30 minutes)
Next visit the Forbidden City, which is 24 emperor's palace in Dynasty Ming and Qing. It is called Gu Gong in Chinese, located in the Center of Beijing. It is the ancient palace which has the largest scale, most magnificent, and best reservation in the world.  (2 hour)
Explore the construction art and royal dignity in the largest, most beautiful and exquisite imperial garden--Summer Palace. (90 minutes)
Free-time Ideas: Chinese Acrobatics Show is highly recommended in Beijing. Your guide can help you get tickets.

Day 13 Beijing

In the morning, you will be driven to the best known section of the Great Wall--Mutianyu Great Wall. Be a hero to hike to the top of the Wall. You may pay extra to take a cable car. (2 hours)
After lunch, visit Dingling Tomb, the most famous one of the 13 Ming Tombs . It is the mausoleum of Emperor Yongle who was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty. (1 hour)
On the way back to the downtown area, while passing by the Bird's Nest, also called the Olympic National Stadium, we will make a brief stop for you to take some pictures of the huge nest.

Day 14 Beijing

Explore the fascinating Hutong neighborhoods. Beijing's oldest Hutongs were constructed during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Your tour will take you through some of the best-preserved Hutong neighborhoods, which represented the history, culture and lifestyle of old Beijing. After a special homemade lunch at a local family residence in the Hutong Lane area, your family can learn how to make your own kites under professional instructions, and then fly your handmade kites with others at the Temple of Heaven which is China's largest temple and altar. It is often regarded as the most recognizable symbol of China. Then proceed to visit Nanluoguxiang.

Day 15 Beijing

Today you will be driven to the airport for your departure flight, tour ends.
