Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

After you arrive in Beijing, our local guide will pick you up and then drive to hotel for a good rest.

Meals: No meal
Day 2 Beijing

In the morning, you will be picked up in your hotel.

Firstly, our guide will guide you to Beijing to get familiar with the historical culture.

First visit the Tiananmen Square including Tiananmen Rostrum, the symbolic landmark of Beijing and China and other main buildings such as National Museum of China, Great Hall of the People, parliament building of China, etc. (30 minutes)

Afterwards, visit the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace complex in the world. (2 hours)

After lunch, you will visit Summer Palace, the largest, most beautiful and exquisite imperial garden in the world. (1.5 hours)

You will have the well-known Peking Roast Duck as the dinner.

Enjoy the Peking Opera as a night show.

When tour is over, you will be transferred back to your hotel by tour guide and driver, free on your own at the rest of the day.

Day 3 Beijing

Pick up service by your tour guide and driver in the morning.

First visit Badaling Great Wall, which is the best preserved section of the Great Wall. Climb up the Great Wall, well-known for the longest defense wall in the world. What a great experience! You will become “a true man, heroes and heroines on the Great Wall” as the old Chinese saying goes. (Cable Car is included). (2 hours)

After lunch, visit Ming Tombs – Changling, the mausoleum of Emperor Yongle who was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty.  He was the most famous historical figure among the Ming Emperors. (1 hour)

Then you will be driven back to your hotel.  On the way, you will see the Bird’s Nest from the exterior.

Day 4 Beijing to Urumqi

Pick up service by your tour guide and driver in the morning.

Early travel to Temple of Heaven,the largest building complex for worshiping the God of Heaven in the world.  You may see the Taichi exercises(1.5 hours).

Then experience the Hutong by rickshaw. Sitting in a rickshaw, the means of transport in the Qing Dynasty, you can see the ancient Beijing lanes and quadrangle houses that have been preserved for 700 years. (1.5 hours)

Driven to the airport to take a flight to Urumqi to have your Silk Road travel.

Arrive in Urumqi, your guide will welcome you at the airport and help you check in the hotel.

Day 5 Urumqi to Turpan

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Turpan.

In the morning, visit Jiaohe Ruins, lies ten kilometers to the west of Turpan, situated on an island in the middle of river waters flowing throug the Yarnaz Valley—the name itself means "at the confluence of two rivers."

Next proceed to the famous Karez Well. Some people hold the view that Karez Wells of Xinjiang, the Great Wall and Canal constitute three Ancient Chinese Works.

After that, you'll have a visit to the Sugong Pagoda. The pagoda displays the typical features of Uygur architecture.

Then you will be transfered to your hotel.

Day 6 Turpan to Dunhuang

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel.

Fiestly you will visit the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves, which were carved over a 900 year-long period of time between about 400 and 1,300 AD. In these grottoes, people created artwork depicting daily life and their religion.

Then you will visit the Gaochang Ruins and the Flaming Hill.

Afterwards, take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

Day 7 Dunhuang

Your guide will pick you up from the train station in the morning, and help you check in the hotel.

You will visit the Echoing-Sand Dune.  Seen from afar, the dune is just like a golden dragon winding its way over the horizon. As you approach you become aware that the sand has many colors ranging from red to yellow, green, black and white.

Then you will visit Crescent Lake. Having been lying among these sand dunes for thousands of years, although given many surprise attacks by sandstorms, Crescent Spring still gurgles clear, and still remains worthy as the first spring in the desert.

You may have a short camel riding.

After today's activities, you wll be transfered to your hotel.

Day 8 Dunhuang to Xian

In the morning, you will be pciked up from your hotel by our guide and driver.

Firstly you will visit the Mogao Grottoes, a shrine of Buddhist art treasures, 25 km (15.5miles) from downtown Dunhuang on the eastern slope of Mingsha Shan (Mount Echoing Sand).

Afterwards, take a flight to Xian. Your guide will pick you up at the airport. Check in the hotel to have a good rest.

Day 9 Xian

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel.

Today you will go to take a Terrecotta Warriors and Horses travel, the greatest archaeological discovery of the 20th century (2 hours); and Qin Tomb, Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor (1 hour).

Then head to the Big Wild Googse Pagoda, one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China (1 hour).

After that, go ahead to visit a complex and well-organized system of defense for the city - Ancient City Wall (1 hour).

At night, you will enjoy Dumpling Dinner (1 hour) and Tang Dynasty Dance Show (1 hour).

When today's tour ends, you will be transfered to your hotel.

Day 10 Xian to Lhasa

After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to take a flight to Lhasa. Arrive in Lhasa and check in the hotel. Your Tibet tour begins.

Day 11 Lhasa

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel.

Firstly visit the Tibet Museum, the exhibition center of Tibetan traditional handicrafts. (1 hour)and the Carpet Factory.

After lunch, visit the Sera Monastery, which is famous for its Buddhism scriptures debating in the afternoon. (3 hours)

Then you will visit the Norbulingka Park- the Summer Palace for Dailai Lama. The farewell dinner will be arranged at the Typical Tibetan restaurant to enjoy the local food with Tibetan dance and song show. Then you will return to your hotel. (2.5 hours)

After today's tour, you will be transfered back to your hotel.

Day 12 Lhasa

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel.

 Then the guide will accompany you to visit the grand wonder of the world Potala Palace(1 hour).

Then you will visit the Jokhang Temple-the most famous and oldest building in Lhasa. (2 hours)

Next stop is the Bazaar of the Barkhor Street, the business center of Lhasa. After today's activity, you will return to your hotel. (2 hours)

At last, you will visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital(1 hour).

After today's tour, you will be transfered to your hotel.

Day 13 Lhasa to Gyangtse

In the morning, you will be driven to Gyangtse and transfer to the hotel.

Stop off at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, renowned as the holy lake to Tibetans (2 hours).

Visit the Palkhor Monastery (1.5 hours) with its unique structural style reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas. Proceed to visit the Gyangtse Old Street. (1 hour)

After the day tour, check in the hotel in Gyantse .

Day 14 Gyangtse to Shigatse

In the morning, you will be drive to Shigatse. Check in the hotel.

Visit the Tashilunpo Monastery. Tashilunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 and is the largest Yellow Hat sect monastery in Tibet. 

And then you will visit New Palace of Panchen.  It  was built in 1954 as the summer palace for the 10th generation of Panchen.

After that, you will be transfered to your hotel.

Day 15 Shigatse to Lhasa

After breakfast, you will be driven back to Lhasa. Check in the hotel to have a good rest.

Day 16 Lhasa to Shanghai

Today you will take a flight to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will welcome you at the airport, and help you check in the hotel.

Day 17 Shanghai

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel.

Firstly explore the Jade Buddha Temple. It is a must-see because it provides a great sanctuary from the active city of Shanghai(40 minutes).

Then have a discovery in the Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden with unique pavilions, halls, rock gardens and ponds(1 hour).

Next relax yourself in the Bund, a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai(40 minutes).

At last, enjoy the Acrobatic Show.

After today's tour, you will be transfered back to your hotel.

Day 18 Depart Shanghai

Today you will be transfered to the airport for your departure flight, tour ends.

All of the tour packages exclude the international airfares. We suggest you can book it one your own. You can compare the price between OTAs (Expedia, Priceline, Sky scanner...) and the airlines. When you have a confirmed date, set alarm and compare it always.
As the China Visa, we cannot apply for you as we are an China inbound travel company. However, we can send you our invitation letter with our company's official seal to you after you booked the tour from us, which could assist you to get China Visa from China embassy easily. Usually, we suggest you to apply the visa about one month or one month and a half before your travel date.
For the breakfast, it is offered by the hotel you stay, usually Chinese and Western buffet breakfast. As for the lunch, we offer 80RMB per person for a standard Chinese meal at a nice tourist restaurant. If you want to order other kind of meals, such as vegetarian, Muslim meals, Indian Meals, please let your trip consultant know. Dinner usually will be left for you to choose the food you prefer. Our guide will help you to balance each meal such as your taboo, your preference and avoid repeated food. You have to pay for the extra cost if you want to take better or more. The meals on Yangtze Cruise are fixed Chinese and Western Buffet.
All the hotels can be replaced by your favorite ones or you can book your own hotels. And the hotel room we offered here usually is standard with twin beds. If you want to have king-size bed room or suite, please let your trip advisor know. Besides, all the accommodation are quoted on two persons sharing one room. The room supplement must be paid if you want to have a single room.
* Most hotels we offered in our tour package have WIFI in the lobby, and some of which have WIFI in hotel rooms. If you need the WIFI in your room, please make sure with your trip advisor.
We have non-shopping private tour and tour with carefully selected shops. For tour with shops, the price will be lower, and you will enter one or two shops in every tourist city. The shops could be jade, silk, pearl, Chinese tea etc., all of which have strong China's character and is worthy to buy. Each shop will take you around 45 minutes. We promise there is no compulsory consumption at all. You get the situation in your hands.
* Department stores, supermarkets, boutiques, hotel and restaurants in most cities of China do accept the credit card with the sigh of MasterCard, VISA and JCB. However, it does generate commission charge. Please check the regulations with your bank manager.
All domestic flight we offered is the economic class, which you can carry one hand-on luggage no more than 5 kg for free. The total of free registered luggage is no more than 20kg. Excess luggage will charge you some extra fees, be aware of that. The free registered luggage allowance in China domestic train is 20kg.
The insurance provided by us is called Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance, which covers accidents occurring during the activities arranged by travel agency. It does not cover mishaps or physical problems occurring outside the guided tour period or caused by clients themsevles, so we highly suggest you purchase the full coverage travel insurance from your country of origin.
For group of 1-4 passengers, recommend US$ 4-8 per tourist per day for guide, and US$ 2-5 per tourist per day for guide; for group of 5 and above, recommend US$ 2-5 per tourist per day for guide, and US$2-4 per tourist per day for driver. Besides, we highly recommend you to tip every day to encourage better service from them in the next coming days. However, if you have genuine reason not to tip, don't.
Usually, the deposit of tour package accounts for 30% of the total quotation, and the balance should be paid 30 days before your tour date.
