Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and transferred to Beijing Capital International Airport. Take the noon flight for Luoyang. Arrival at Luoyang around 3:00pm (subject to change), met by our representative in Luoyang and and transfered to our designated hotel in Luoyang. Free for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Luoyang
After breakfast, take one and half hours'drive to Shaolin Temple about 80 km away from Luoyang city. Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chan Buddism-cradle of Shaolin Kongfu. In the temple you will have the chance to enjoy the real Kung fu performance by the monks. Shaolin Temple is famous not only as one of China's most important Buddhist temples, but also as the center of Chinese kung-fu. After lunch, drive back to Luoyang and stay overnight in Luoyang Grand Hotel.
Day 3 Luoyang to Beijing by flight
After breakfast, first visit the Longmen Grottoes. It is situated on the Yihe River bank, about 12 kilometers from Luoyang city. It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist cave and rock carvings in China. The grottos were first carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), when the rulers relocated their capital from Datong to Luoyang at the end of the 5th century.
Then move on to Luoyang Museum. The Luoyang Museum is a city-level historical museum of China. The Museum shows over 1,700 cultural and historical relics in 5 showrooms -- a presentation of 5 different social development periods such as the Primitive Society, the Slavery Society, and the Feudal Society.
After lunch, continue to visit the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist Temple ever built in China!
After dinner, have a private transfer to Luoyang Airport and take late evening flight for Beijing. Arrival at Beijing around 23:00 (subject to change) and transferred to your hotel in Beijing.
