4 Days Nanjing Huangshan Tour
Tour Route: Nanjing, HuangshanArrive in Nanjing and start your tour to visit the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum built in a style combining Chinese and Western architecture. Here you can see a bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen, the memorial hall, and coffin chamber housing a marble statue of Sun Yat-sen. Continue to visit the Ming City Wall and the Yangtze River Bridge. In the evening, walk along the Qinhuai River and enjoy shopping and local food in Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) Area. Stay overnight at the four-star Nanjing New Century Hotel.
Day 2 Nanjing to Tunxi
After breakfast, you will visit the Xiaoling Mausoleum which was constructed for the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, the Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang. Then you will move to Nanjing Museum, one of the best museums in China. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Xuanwu Lake. The Lake is best seen in combination with the Ming city wall bordering the park to its east and south and the Ji Ming Temple just outside Jie Fang Men at Xuanwu Lake's southwestern edge. You'll take the afternoon train to depart Nanjing and arrive in Huangshan city in the evening. Be met by our guide and transferred to Huangshan International Hotel (4 star). Since you'll have to carry everything yourself up Huangshan unless you hire a porter, it is advisable that you leave your big luggage in the hotel in downtown and bring only a small handbag or backpack with you up mountain.
Day 3 Tunxi to Huangshan
After breakfast, we'll be driving for about one hour and twenty minutes to reach the foothill of Huangshan and then to hike up or take the Yungu Cable Car up mountain from the eastern steps. Sightsee the Fairy Maiden Peak, Beginning-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak, Stone Monkey Gazing Over the Sea of Clouds. In the afternoon, we will visit the Purple Cloud Peak and the most spectacular Grand Canyon of the West Sea.
Day 4 Huangshan
Watch the sunrise in the early morning. After breakfast, you will be walking for about 3.5 hours from the eastern steps to the western steps of Huangshan. On the way, you would enjoy numerous breathtaking scenery, including the Flying-over Rock, Bright Summit, Tianhai Scenic Area, White Clouds Scenic Area, Stone Turtle on the Back of a Crocodile, Narrow Cliff, Old Monk in Meditation, One Hundred Ladders, Lotus Peak which is the top peak of Huangshan with an elevation of more than 1,864 meters above sea level, Welcoming-guest Pine, Celestial Capital Peak. Take Yuping Cable Car down the mountain from the western steps at around lunch time. After lunch, we drive for about one hour to visit two fantastic villages of Hongcun (a UNESCO world heritage site) and Nanping. They are regarded by many western scholars and experts as a living museum of Chinese traditional residential houses. The Oscar-awarded movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was just filmed in Hongcun Village while Judou, another famous movie directed by Zhang Yimou and starred by Gong Li, was produced in Nanping Village. Back to Tunxi (downtown) in the late afternoon to visit the Old Street of Tunxi. Leave Huangshan City after dinner.
