4 Days Xiamen & Earth Building Tour

Your guide will meet you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel. Welcome to Garden on the sea city Xiamen. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the city on your own.You'll spend the night in the Xiamen Oversea Plaza Hotel 4* or a similar hotel.

Xiamen: Established in the Ming Dynasty as a major seaport and as one of China’s five port cities, Xiamen has now grown into a metropolis with well-developed finance, commerce, tourism, science and technology. Situated in southeast coast of Fujian Province and at the west coast of Taiwan Strait, Xiamen offers a pleasant climate all year round, with an average annual temperature of 21°C. Through the years, this coastal city has been awarded with several honorary titles by the States and UN, including “National Model City for Environmental Protection”, “International Garden City”, “National Sanitary City”, and “International Residential City”.

After a buffet breakfast, depart the hotel for a full day tour of Xiamen.

Your will first arrive at a ferry station where you will take a ferry to Gulangyu Islet, an oasis with serene beauty, a tranquil atmosphere and buildings in various architectural styles. After a short, five-minute ferry, arrive at Gulangyu for a unique guided tour.

You will visit Shuzhuang Garden, which was built by a Taiwanese business tycoon who moved his whole family from Taiwan during the Sino-Japanese war of 1894 – 1895.

Enjoy the terrain and the sea, which were perfectly incorporated into the layout of the entire garden. See the Nine-Bend Forty-Four Bridge, which is delicately poised above the sea and consists of Duyue Pavilion (Watching Moon Pavilion), Qianbo Pavilion (Thousand-Wave Pavilion), and interesting rockwork.

Also, you can enjoy all kinds of famous pianos in the Piano Museum only in China. Return to the ferry terminal on the golf cart for the ferry back to Xiamen.

Lunch enjoy local flavor. After lunch, you will visit Huli Fortress, which is the biggest and oldest cannon in the world.

From there, rejoin your coach for a tea ceremony in a teahouse. Then you will visit the Ring Road, which is the most beautiful Marathon Crouse in the world.

Dinner tonight is not included. 

You'll spend the night in the Xiamen Oversea Plaza Hotel 4* or a similar hotel.

After breakfast, depart your hotel for a full day excursion to the Yongding Hakka Building Cultural Village(3.5h), one of the "World Cultural Heritage".As a unique culture, Tulou has existed for a long time. The people living in the area faced both natural and human threats. They had to fend off wild animals from the surrounding forest as well as the occasional group of bandits. In order to protect themselves against bandits and wild beast, they used local materials to build tall, multi-storey circular earthen buildings where a whole family or clan could live in. These are the earth towers that we see today. These Earth buildings not only are comfortable dwellings, but also Mighty Fortresses. Today, Tulou has become the world's cultural heritage.

Visit Zhencheng Building, Kuiju Building, Rusheng Building and Fuyu Building. Then you will be transfer back to Xiamen.

You'll spend the night in the Xiamen Oversea Plaza Hotel 4* or a similar hotel.

Enjoy the breakfast at leisure. The remainder of the day is free to relax at the hotel or for a last minute individual exploration of Xiamen.

Later today, you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Wish you had a good trip home.
