5 Days Beijing to Tianjin Xingang Port Tours
Tour Route: Tianjin, BeijingFrom this tour, you will take a 3 full days Beijing sightseeing which covers Forbidden City, Beijing Panda House, Mutianyu Great Wall and so on. After that, you will be driven to Tianjin port to boarding your cruise ship.
Arrival at Beijing airport or train station, met and transferred to your hotel in Beijing. you will enjoy your free time and get recharged for next day tour in Beijing.
Day 2 Beijing
Pick up at your hotel around 8:30am. First visit Tiananmen Square. It is the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the biggest square in the world. It is 500 meters wide ,880 meters long and the ground is paved with light granite slate disposed through special technology treatment. The flag-raising ceremony at sunrise and flag-lowering ceremony at sunset are the most magnificent rites.
Then move on to Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the seat of Imperial power for 500 years, and is now a major tourist attraction in China. The total area of the complex is 183 acres, so it takes quite a while to walk through, especially if you want to have a close look at everything. All together there are 9,999 1/2 rooms in the Museum, not all of which can be visited.
After having a short rest, we'll visit the Temple of Heaven - the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where the ancient Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. The visit to Temple of Heaven takes about 1 hour.
After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, one of China's largest imperial garden. Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty, Its predecessor was the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyiyuan) started in 1750 and burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860. Fresh-water pearl market for a good bargain not to be missed.
After Beijing Duck dinner, enjoy the Kung Fu Show in the evening. Back to your hotel.
Day 3 Beijing
Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and you are first arranged to have the excurson tour of Mutianyu Great Wall. The Mutianyue Great Wall is the most beautiful section of the all 5 sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. The hike takes about 2-3 hours.
After lunch, continue to visit the Underground Palace ( Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs ). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs excavated.
On the way back to your hotel in Beijing, pass by Olympic Park in Beijing, constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics and have a glimpse of both Bird's Nest Stadium and the National Aquatics Center (the Water Cube) from their outside (entrance fees excluded), where both Usain Bolt of Jamaica and Michael Phelps of America make the history 1n 2008 Olympic Games.
After the day tour, transferred back to your hotel in Beijing and free for rest of the day.
Day 4 Beijing
Pick-up from your hotel around 8:30. Start your trip with Beijing Panda House which is located in Beijing Zoo southwest of Beijing. There you can see the lovely Giant Pandas.
Then head to Lama Temple ( Yonghe Temple ). It is a temple and monastery of the Geluk School of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Temple is one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. The building of the temple is a blended Han and Tibetan style.
Then move on to Confucian Temple ( Kongmiao ), one of the most important Confucian temples, just after the one in his hometown of Qufu in Shandong Province. The confucius temple was built to pay tribute to confucius in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It was first built in 1309 with a history of more than 600 years. Inside the temple complex there are more than 100 ancient trees and 198 steles in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
After Chinese lunch, head to Shichahai area behind Beihai Park for Hutong tour. First take rickshaw going around the deep Hutong in Shichahai area, visiting an ordinary family in a courtyard. The ascend the drum tower and have a bird's eye view of the old Beijing - Shichahai area.
Finally walk from Drum Tower to Nanluoguxiang, a lane or hutong with a history of over 700 years dating back to Yuan Dyansty in 13th and 14th century. Running from north to south, this lane is about 800 meters long with 16 hutongs - 8 hutongs on each side of the lane. The lane is now famous for the cafes and bars and clothing and handcraft shops that line its hutong laneways as well as its traditional hutong and courtyards (siheyuan).
After your tour of Nanluoguxiang, you have two choices: either transferred back to your hotel in Beijing or enjoy your happy time at Naluoguxiang for the rest of the time on your own.
Day 5 Beijing to Tianjin Xingang Port
You are free till your private transfer to Tianjin Cruise Home Port Xingang. So head to Tianjin Port Xingang escorted by your Engish speaking tour guide. Tianjin Port Xingang is about 200 km from Beijing and the drive takes about 2-3 hours. Your tour guide will escort you from the beginning to the end. Your tour guide and driver will give you a hand in carrying your big pieces of luggage to the Tianjin Port Xingang Cruise Terminal Building from the parking lot. You go through the customs in the building and embark the ship starting your dream cruise. Have a pleasant journey!
