5 Days Harbin Yabuli Tour from Beijing by Bullet Train
Tour Route: Beijing, Harbin, Yabuli, Harbin, Beijing
Pick up from your mid-town hotel in Beijing around 6:00am. Then transferred to Beijing Railway Station and take the bullet train No.25 leaving at 7:15am for Harbin. Arrival in Harbin at 15:19, met by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Harbin (booked by us). You will enjoy your leisure time for rest of the day.
Day 2 Harbin
Pick up from your hotel, then have the excursion to enjoy the Snow Carving Festival in Sun Island. The Sun Island is one of northern China's most scenic spots and is famous throughout the country as a resort. However, in winter, when the whole island is covered with snow, that it is the best time to take part in the famous Snow Carving Festival here.
Then drive further north ( about 37km north of Harbin downtown) to see the Siberian tigers in the Northeast Tiger Park. You are arranged to have a close look at the tigers on a moving bus as well as having a chance to see the tigers through a special walking corridor. It is a thrill and exciting experience to see these cute big cats.
After lunch, drive back to the city center to visit the city landmark of Harbin - St.Sophia Church. It is the largest Eastern Orthodox Church in China as well in the Far East. It has the height of 53.3 meters and has an area of 721 square meters. Then walk along Zhongyang Street ( Central Street ). Harbin is often dubbed as the Eastern Moscow due to its Russian architecture rooted in the city. The Zhongyang Dajie is the most famous street refecting the foreign styles. It includes many European architectural styled buildings from Renaissance and the baroque to eclecticism.
After dinner, you will have your highlight activity in Harbin - enjoy the Ice and Snow World, an ice fairyland on earth. The ice carvings at the Harbin Ice and Snow World are listed as the world's greatest examples of ice art, the largest ice and snow art exhibition in the world of this kind. People can enjoy the largest and most amazing ice-sculpted masterpieces. After Ice & Snow World, you are transferred back to your hotel in Harbin.
Day 3 Harbin to Yabuli Ski Resort by private car or van
After breakfast, drive to Yabuli Ski Resort and stay at our designated hotel. Yabuli Ski Resort is the official name given to the biggest ski resort in China (Chinese: ) lying about 240km to the south-east of Harbin city and 130km to the west of Mudanjiang city. Actually Yabuli Ski Resort is composed of several ski grounds big or small with over 10 hotels ranging from basic guesthouse to luxury hotels. Among them there are three most well known ski grounds in Yabuli Ski Resort - Sun Mountain Ski Resort (Melco Ski Resort), Yabuli Ski Resort (same name as the official one for the whole area) and Avaunce (Yabuli) Ski Resort. Each ski resort has its own accommodation choices.
After lunch, you are arranged to do the ski at the Yabuli Ski Resort. We only cover the entrance fee. You are supposed to pay all the skiing fees by yourself. The ski resort is owned and mananged by Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Administration. It is the only ski resort for professional ski training as well as for leisure skiing in Yabuli Ski Resort.
Yabuli Ski Resort has varied trails for skiers of all levels. There are primary, intermediate and advanced ski runs. Automatic and semiatomatic snowmaking system covers all the snow courses that are 12460 meters long with an area of 431800 square meters. People have the choices of taking cableways here including hanging cars, double lifts and sing lifts.
Day 4 Yabulin to Harbin by private car or van
After breakfast, you are free or go on with your ski activities at Sun Mountain Ski Resort (Melco Ski). The ski resort is managed by Melco China Resorts ("MCR"), an associate of Melco International Development Limited ("Melco").
The resort boasts of 17 ski runs, from beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert, coupled by many on-mountain entertainment activities, so there is always something for everyone at Yabuli Sun Mountain Ski Resort. New high-speed 8-passenger heated gondolas, full-leather 4-passenger heated VIP gondolas, and 6-passenger heated bubble chairlifts from POMA of America are the first of its kind to be introduced outside of Europe. The range of skis from Austria and snowboards from the USA further reflects the high standards of this international resort.
We only cover the entrance fee. You are supposed to pay all the skiing fees by yourself.
Day 5 Harbin to Beijing by Bullet Train No.26(15:38-23:33)
Start today's tour with the visit to the winter swimming pool. Winter Swimming is a very popular sport in Harbin. The brave winter swimmers go swimming in the icy water in winter while the other people watch wearing thick clothes. Local swimmers put on some performaces like dancing and boxing on the ice as well as swimming in the pool against the chilly weather.
Then the move on to Heilongjiang Provincial Museum in the city center. The main building of the Museum was built in 1904, and is a brick-and-wood structure following the style of Russian architecture. The Museum is composed mainly of two parts - the exhibition area of 3,000 square meters and the relics storage building of almost the same size.
Then walk to the ajoining Hongbo Square - the largest underground shopping mall in Harbin. A former air-shelter built in 1960s, it has turned into a huge tunnel department store. Warm inside during the chilly winter, you feel much comfortable, but you will be dazzled by the rich variety of the stuff packed in the underground tunnels turned shopping maze!
After lunch, you are transferred to Harbin Railway Station and take the bullet train No.26 leaving at 15:38 for Beijing. Arrival in Beijing at 23:33, met and transferred back to your hotel in Beijing. End of the travel service.
