5 Days Shanghai to Lhasa Tours
Tour Route: Shanghai, LhasaIn the morning, you are met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport by our professional English speaking tour guide. Transfer to the hotel for 4 nights stay. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 Lhasa
Full day visit in Lhasa. Your first stop will be The Potala Palace with its 10,000 steps. Then we visit to the most celebrated temple in Tibet - the Jokhang Temple. This afternoon is at leisure at Barkhor Street to shop and to look at some of the local crafts.
Day 3 Lhasa
Today we will visit Sera Monastery, known as one of the three greatest monasteries of Tibet. As one of the three main monasteries in Lhasa, it is here that the monks "famous daily debates" take place. One of the most famous souvenir in Tibet is carpet. Today we will visit The Carpet Factory to have a general idea how carpets are produced. After lunch you will have a chance to visit Drepung Monastery and Norbulingka. Drepung Monastery used to be the living palace of Dalai Lamas before the reconstruction of Potala palace (after the 5th Dalai Lamas was bestowed by Qing emperor Qianlong). Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served as the whole governmental administration.
Day 4 Lhasa
Full day visit to Yambajan and Lake Namtso (from May to October only). Yambajan is famous for its hot spring and is a nice choice for those who want to get a close look at the Tibetan herders (drokpa) and their semi-nomadic lifestyle. Lake Namtso is the second largest saltwater lake in China. The lake is beautiful with its azure water and surrounding snow capped peaks.
Day 5 Lhasa to Shanghai
Transfer to Lhasa airport and fly back to Shanghai. Pick-up at Shanghai airport and transfer back home.

However, we can send you our invitation letter with our company's official seal to you after you booked the tour from us, which could assist you to get China Visa from China embassy easily. Usually, we suggest you to apply the visa about one month or one month and a half before your travel date.
* Most hotels we offered in our tour package have WIFI in the lobby, and some of which have WIFI in hotel rooms. If you need the WIFI in your room, please make sure with your trip advisor.
* Department stores, supermarkets, boutiques, hotel and restaurants in most cities of China do accept the credit card with the sigh of MasterCard, VISA and JCB. However, it does generate commission charge. Please check the regulations with your bank manager.
