Day 1 Arrive in Zhangjiajie

Today you will arrive in Zhangjiajie, picked up by our local guide and then you will be transferred to the hotel.  The rest of the day is free for you.

Day 2 Zhangjiajie

Morning: Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Mountain is a mountain located in northwestern Hunan Province, China. It is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, with the sea level of 1518M, it is praised to be the soul of Zhangjiajie. It is also known as Heaven Gate Mountain due to a large natural ark, many Chinese people believe that the Tianmen Mountain is the “Closest Earth Landmark to God”.Your guide will take you to explore the best scenic spots such as Heavenly bus road, The Glass Plank road, Tianmen Cave and so on.

Afternoon: Tujia Folk Garden & Lijunshen Sandstone painting Museum

Tujia Folk Garden: With woodcarving on the windows, Flying Eaves and colorful wall, Tujia Folk Garden is a masterpiece of nature and manmade. In the park,the famous buildings are Tusi Town, Baoshou or Wave Hand Hall and Tujia Village. Chongtian Tower, which is 48 meters high, has 12 stories with special design. The park shows Tujia customs, special stone, root carving, precious relics and old Tujia folk performance, such as Maogusi Dance and Copper Bells Dance. 

Lijunshen Sandstone painting Museum: Li Junsheng's sandstone paintings break through the using of traditional painting materials and use nature materials by making use of the hue of natural plant creatively, are of great art and collection values. He said, "An exquisite work of art is free from the shackles of materials and techniques, but depends on the artist’s inspiration.

Show Opportunity: Tianmen Foxy Fairy is an outdoor musical telling an old Chinese love story, with Tianmen Mountain and its deep valleys as the backdrop. It has received good reviews on TripAdvisor. The show is on every night. If you are interested, please ask your guide to book tickets for you, at extra cost.

Day 3 Zhangjiajie

Today you will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Morning: Ten--miles Gallery & Tianzishan Mountain

Ten--miles Gallery: Ten--miles gallery is a 5 kilometers long canyon. There are dense wood, fragrant flower and grotesque rock in the canyon. The scenery formed a natural picture hanging on the cliff. In the canyon, there are some sights as follow: Camel Peak, Ferocious Tiger Roaring, Mouse Looking Sky, The Senior Man Greeting Visitors and The Man Collecting Herb.

Tianzishan: It is known for 4 natural spectacles - the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain,the amazing views of the rising sun,the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks.They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery.

Afternoon: Yuanjiajie Scenic Area 

Yuanjiajie: Yuanjiajie is also called AVATAR Mountain for the movie AVATAR is filmed here.Located in the northwest part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie is a naturally formed platform mountain, surrounded by higher summits which are divided by deep valleys.You will enjoy Hallelujah Mountain, NO.1 Bridge in the world and so on.

Day 4 Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang

Morning: visit to the Yellow Dragon Cave

Yellow Dragon Cave is the longest cave in Asia; it is an incomparable realm of gigantic subterranean chambers, fantastic cave formations, and extraordinary features. Today, many of the wonders of Yellow Dragon Cave are well known, yet the experience of exploring its chambers is every bit as exciting. The cave remained mystic to local villagers before the first caving adventure took place in 1982; they believed it was the holy home for the yellow dragon and spirits. Now the routes are well paved and well lighted. Sturdy walking shoes, flashlights, and water are required when you explore the cave.


Afternoon: transfer to Fenghuang Ancient City

Fenghuang was once praised by Alley Rewi, a famous New Zealand writer, as the most beautiful city in China. Since the town is a little off the tourist beaten path, it has retained much of its ambiance and ethnic character, with locals continuing their simple lives in this 1300 year old town. The stepping stone and rough wood plank bridge river crossings, flagstone streets and old style wooden stilt houses perched on both sides of the river have existed for generations of local people as they go about their daily business.

Day 5 Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie

Morning: Fenghuang Ancient City

Enjoy a leisure visiting to the famous “9 scenic places of Fenghuang Ancient Town” such as Former Residence of Shen Congwen, Yang Ancestral Memorial, Ancient East Gate, Tuojiang River, Hongqiao Bridge, etc.


In the afternoon, transfer to Zhangjiajie and see you off in Zhangjiajie airport or train station. Tour service ends.
