7 Days Beijing and Huangshan Classic Tour
Tour Route: Beijing, HuangshanArrival in Beijing. Be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 Beijing
Pick up from hotel at the appointed time. Day trip begins.
Explore Tiananmen Square, including Tiananmen Rostrum, the symbolic landmark of Beijing and China and other main buildings such as National Museum of China, Great Hall of the People, parliament building of China, etc. (30 minutes)
Afterwards, visit the Forbidden City, the largest imperial palace complex in the world. (2 hours)
After lunch, visit Summer Palace, the largest, most beautiful and exquisite imperial garden in the world. (90 minutes)
Day 3 Beijing
Hike the Badaling Great Wall, Climb up the Great Wall, well-known for the longest defense wall in the world. What a great experience! You will become “a true man, heroes and heroines on the Great Wall” as the old Chinese saying goes. (Cable Car is optional). (2 hours)
Stroll around Changling Tomb, the mausoleum of Emperor Yongle who was the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty. He was the most famous historical figure among the Ming Emperors. (1 hour)
Day 4 Beijing to Huangshan Tunxi
Early travel to Temple of Heaven, you may see the Taichi exercises. It is the largest building complex for worshiping the God of Heaven in the world. (90 minutes)
Experience the Hutong by rickshaw. Sitting in a rickshaw, the means of transport in the Qing Dynasty, you can see the ancient Beijing lanes and quadrangle houses that have been preserved for 700 years. (90 minutes)
You will take a bullet train to Huangshan. Upon your arrival, you'll be met and transferred to hotel . Since you'll have to carry everything yourself up Huangshan unless you hire a porter, it is advisable that you leave your big luggage in the hotel in downtown and bring only a small handbag or backpack with you up mountain.
Day 5 Tunxi to Yellow Mountain
In the morning, we'll drive for about one hour and twenty minutes to reach this world-class fabulous mountain, which was accepted by UNESCO both as natural and cultural heritage site in 1990. For centuries, Huangshan has been the source of inspiration for Chinese famed painters, poets and artists for its unparalleled scenery. We'll take the Yungu Cable Car up the mountain from the eastern steps. We will have a chance to visit the scenic spots including the Fairy Maiden Peak, Beginning-to believe Peak, Lion Peak, Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, Grand Canyon.
Day 6 Huangshan to Tunxi
Weather permitting, we'll watch the magnificent sunrise in the early morning at a view-point terrace very close to our hotel. Sunrise-watching is one of the highlights at the summit. After breakfast, we will be walking for about 3.5 hours from the eastern steps to the western steps of Huangshan. On the way, breathtaking views can be seen everywhere, including the Flying-over Rock, Bright Summit, Tianhai Scenic Area, White Clouds Scenic Area, Stone Turtle on the Back of a Crocodile, Narrow Cliff, Old Monk in Meditation, One Hundred Ladders, Lotus Peak which is the top peak of Huangshan with an elevation of more than 1, 864 meters above sea level, Welcoming-guest Pine, etc. We take Yuping Cable Car down the mountain from the western steps around lunch time. Drive back to the downtown in the afternoon and vist the lovely Tunxi Old Street, center of the old town section.
Day 7 Tunxi to Hongcun to Tunxi Departure
After breakfast, we head for Hongcun, a UNESCO world cultural heritage which features typical south China residential houses dated back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. We will spend the rest of the day exploring old houses that are several hundred years old; each piece of intricate wood carving or exquisite piece of furniture here is a true sample of a living antique. Thereafter, we'll visit Mukeng located only about ten-minute drive away from Hongcun. It is a small village of approximately 90 people who live a simple and traditional lifestyle and all bear the same surname - Fu. Located half way up a hill surrounded by sea of bamboo trees, Mukeng offers extraordinary views to visitors. Finally we'll be visiting another old village, Nanping. Back to the downtown in the afternoon and leave Huangshan for your next destination.
Meals: Breakfars, LunchAll of the tour packages exclude the international airfares. We suggest you can book it one your own. You can compare the price between OTAs (Expedia, Priceline, Sky scanner...) and the airlines. When you have a confirmed date, set alarm and compare it always.
As the China Visa, we cannot apply for you as we are an China inbound travel company. However, we can send you our invitation letter with our company's official seal to you after you booked the tour from us, which could assist you to get China Visa from China embassy easily. Usually, we suggest you to apply the visa about one month or one month and a half before your travel date.
