7 Days Shanghai and Yangtze Cruise Tour
Tour Route: Shanghai, Chongqing, Yangtze River, Yichang, Shanghai
Be met at the arrival hall of the airport by our tour guide and transferred back to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle.
Day 2 Arrival in Shanghai
After breakfast, we will first visit Shanghai Museum which houses a collection of 123,000 cultural arts in 21 categories including bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, Ming and Qing-dynasty furniture and ancient art works.
Continue our visit to Yuyuan Garden and Yuyuan Market. Yuyuan Garden which is a tranquil classical garden and well blends of pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters with unique characteristics. Lunch is at a great local restaurant. A visit to Jiangnan Silk Shop and Workshop is also included.
In the afternoon, we head to the Bund for a waterfront stroll and have a look at the grandest historic buildings. Lastly, go to the top of Shanghai’s new landmark – World Financial Center for a bird's-eye view of the city.
Day 3 Shanghai Fly to Chongqing
Take morning flight from Shanghai to Chongqing. Before boarding the ship, you will have a half day Chongqing tour to see the cute pandas in Chongqing zoo and go to Ciqikou Old Town to experience authentic community and local’s life. Lunch is arranged at a great local restaurant.
Board the ship from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Dinner is not included and we suggest that you buy some snacks in local supermarket. Start your Yangtze River cruise from Chongqing to Yichang at 9:00pm.
Day 4 Yangtze Cruise
A shore excursion to Shibaozhai. It is built by catch upon a rectangular rock with sheer cliffs with a height of 56 meters and 12 stories. Each of the 12 floors of Shibaozhai is dedicated to a famous general of the Three Kingdoms period (220-265AD), a local scholar or a renowned Chinese poet.
At night, a welcoming banquet and dancing party will be held on the ship.
Day 5 Yangtze Cruise
Today you will experience perhaps the most memorable part of your Yangtze Cruise tour. The ship will sail through Qutang Gorge which is the grandest and most dangerous section of the river with steep precipices on both sides.
Go ashore to visit the Shennong Stream when the ship sails between Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. This is an interesting junk adventure drifting along the winding stream for three to four hours. Aboard the ship again and Crew's Performance will be held tonight.
At night, a welcoming banquet and dancing party will be held on the ship.
Day 6 Arrival in Yichang
Today we will sail through the Three Gorges Dam and get access to the top of the dam see the magnificent project.
The ship arrives in Yichang at 1:00pm. Our guide will meet your at the pier and transfer you to the Yichang airport to catch your flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival in Shanghai, you will see our guide wait for you at the arrival hall.
Day 7 Shanghai to Departure City
Transfer you to the airport to board on your flight home
