Day 1 Arrive at Xiamen

Arrive in Xiamen by flight or train in the afternoon or evening. Be met upon arrival and transferred to to your hotel. You will be free for the rest of time. Known in the West as Amoy, Xiamen has a long history as a port city, and later became a center of British trade in the 19th century. Xiamen was declared one of China's first Special Economic Zones in the early 1980's, taking advantage of the city's heritage as a trading center and the proximity to Taiwan. Today Xiamen is one of China's most attractive and best-maintained resort cities.

Day 2 Xiamen to Hua'an

After breakfast, we will drive for around 3 hours to visit Hua'an Earth Buildings. Renowned as "the mother of earth buildings", "the king of earth buildings" and the most representative of the earth building, Hua'an is the birthplace of Fujian Earth Buildings which was listed into the world cultural heritage in the year of 2008. We will have a chance to visit three main buildings such as Eryi Building, Nanyang Building and Dongyang Buidling. Walking through these buildings, people enjoy so much the beautiful environment, scientific layout and the delicate wall paintings. Drive back to Xiamen in the late afternoon. Stay overnight in the same hotel.

Day 3 Xiamen to Chongwu to Quanzhou

We start our tour to Chongwu Ancient Town after breakfast. Known as the only one stone-made city built in Ming dynasty, Chongwu Ancient City has a history of over six hundred years. Located on the southern tip of Chongwu Peninsula, Fujian Province, Chongwu Ancient City is a national heritage conservation unit of China. The Chongwu ancient city wall is one of the seven famed ancient city walls in China. We will be able to visit the Stone-carving Park and Ancient City Wall. Thereafter, we will drive for around one hour to Quanzhou City to visit Kaiyuan Temple, Eest and Wast Tower and Marine Museum before driving back to Xiamen in the late afternoon. Stay overnight in the same hote.

Day 4 Xiamen to Tunxi

Gulangyu Island is renowned for its delicate natural beauty, its ancient relics, and its varied architecture. We'll take boat to visit Sunlight Rock, Birds Garden, Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. After lunch, we will drive to visit Hulishan Canon Platform. Originally built in the Qing dynasty (1644-1911) to fend off foreign imperialists, the platform boasts a huge nineteenth century heavy artillery piece produced by the German conglomerate Krupp, with a maximum range of 10,000 meters. Considered a serious threat then, the canon still dominated the defenses half a century later when a Japanese warship was gunned down during the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945). We'll also visit Nanputuo Temple and Coastal Ring Road. After dinner, we take flight to Tunxi (downtown of Huangshan City). Upon arrival, be met by the local guide and transferred your hotel in Tunxi.

Day 5 Tunxi to Mt. Huangshan

As one of top ten famous scenic spots in China, Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is famed for its four wonders, namely, grotesque pines, grotesque rocks, hotspring and sea of clouds. It was included on the world natural and cultural heritage list in 1990. After breakfast, we will drive for a little more than one hour to reach the foothill and take the Yungu Cable Car to the top from the eastern steps. Upon getting off the cable car, you are presented with a colorful Chinese painting. People really can not find proper words to express their feelings at that moment. Sightsee the Beginning-to Believe Peak, the Sunken Flower Valley and the Writing-brush Peak. Stay overnight in the hotel on the top of the mountain.

Day 6 Mt. Huangshan to Yixian to Tunxi

Get up earlier to get to the Lion Peak and watch the sunrise. After breakfast, continue visiting the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, Grand Canyon, Flying-over Rock, and Bright Summit before descending the mountain by the same cable car. Drive for one hour to reach Yixian County, which is praised as the Eden's Garden on earth. You'll visit a UNESCO cultural heritage site - Hongcun Village, renowned as the Village in Traditional Chinese Painting. It is the place where the famous Oscar-awarded movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed. Meanwhile, you have chance, too, to visit century-old houses built in the Ming or Qing dynasties. Meanwhile, you will be surprised by the leisurely and peaceful life of the local people. Drive back to downtown where you'll overnight.

Day 7 Tunxi to Shexian to Tunxi

She Xian (She County), the national historical cultural city, is regarded as the cradle of Hui Culture, one of the three major regional cultures in China. We will drive to visit Xucun Village which was built in over 1000 years ago. Just along the 1,500-meter-long old street between Gaoyang Bridge and Qianxi, nearly 200 old houses are still standing there complete and intact. Those old houses and buildings are surely of high values in terms of architecture, history, environmental study and anthropology. Drive back to downtown and visit Huizhou Cultural Museum and the fantastic Ancient Street. End the trip and leave Huangshan City in the late afternoon or evening.
