9 Days Student tours to Experience the Highlights of China
Tour Route: Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shanghai
This is the most popular itinerary of China. It presents an overall view of the history, culture, and modernity of China. The Great Wall and TaiChi learning in Beijing, Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an, The Bund in Shanghai and the garden of Suzhou are can't be missed either. Also, the local school visit can be arranged according to your request.
Our local professional guide and experienced driver will expect you at the airport after your baggage reclaim and customs clearance, and then escort you to check in the hotel in downtown area. Relax during the rest time of the day to recover from the jet leg.
Day 2 Beijing
A buffet breakfast & real fresh coffee will kick start your day. Your private guide will be on time and waiting in arrivals.
First stop, Tiananmen Square. It is the third largest city square in the world. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history. (30 minutes)
Next visit the Forbidden City, which is 24 emperor's palace in Dynasty Ming and Qing. It is called Gu Gong in Chinese, located in the Center of Beijing. It is the ancient palace which has the largest scale, most magnificent, and best reservation in the world. (2 hour)
Explore the Temple of Heaven, the sacred altar for worshiping the God of Heaven in the world. (90 minutes)
Day 3 Beijing
This morning tour will take you to size up the world-famous Great Wall (Mutianyu section), the key symbol of China. Flexible visiting time allows you to enjoy a lifetime trekking trip (2-3 hours' hiking), or witness the breathtaking views of this man-made wonder by taking a cable car.
In the afternoon, you'll visit the fabulous Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. If weather permit, you may take a cruise on the Kunming Lake.
Evening Ideas: try the flavorful dish of Peking Roast Duck Dinner in this evening. (Optional)
Day 4 Beijing to Xian
After breakfast, you will visit the Imperial College and Confucian Temple.
Next proceed to visit the Lama Temple, which has been active since it was converted to
Buddhism temple from the residence of the crown price Yinzhen who later became Emperor Yong Zheng, the third emperor of the Qing Dynasty. (1 hour)
Take a rickshaw ride to visit old Hutong, you can see the ancient Beijing lanes and quadrangle houses that have been preserved for 700 years. (90 minutes)
Optional: Participate in a Taiji lesson (40 minutes)
Take overnight train (soft-sleeper) to Xian after the sightseeing.
Meals: Breakfast, LunchDay 5 Xian
Our local professional guide and experienced driver will expect you at the train station.
First site to visit today is Ancient City Wall--the best preserved ancient city wall in China. You may suggested to take a bicycle tour along the wall (1 hour)
Next, Walk around in the Square of Bell & Drum Tower (climbing the tower is optional).
Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda-- the very important Buddhism temple in Xian. (1 hour)
No Tricks (Big/Little) Pagoda –Other companies and large tour operators may take you to Small Wild Goose Pagoda(free admission) instead of the Big Wild Pagoda. We will never do that.
Meals: Breakfast, LunchDay 6 Xian
In the morning, visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The terracotta warriors and horses of life size are arranged in battle formations at the museum. (2 hours)
Next pay a visit to the Great Mosque , here you won't feel regretted for the Xi'an snacks (1 hours).

Day 7 Xian to Shanghai
Take early flight to Shanghai. Local guide will pick you up and take a day tours of Shanghai.
Firstly, you'll visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, a must-see for all true Shanghainophiles to witness how Shanghai became a cosmopolitan city from a shabby fishing village. (1 hour)
Next, you will visit the Yuyuan Garden, which reflects a very typical southern China garden style. (1 hour)
Leisurely walk along the Bund to view the skyline of this modern city. (40 minutes)
You will also have a look at the Oriental Pearl Tower, the highest TV tower in Asia. (1.4 hours)
Meals: Breakfast, LunchDay 8 Suzhou
Picked up from your hotel in Shanghai. Drive about one hour and get to Suzhou.
First visit Suzhou Lingering Garden. Lingering Garden has a history of over 400 years, the best preserved among all the Suzhou gardens. The garden was originally built in 1583 of by Xu Taishi, an official of the Ming court, as his private living place. After expanded and renovated for several times, it has the new face what it looks today.
The following verdant Tiger Hill is only 36 meters in height but keeps a number of historical buildings and relics, the history of which is as long as Suzhou City.
Then proceed to have a visit to Suzhou Silk Museum.Suzhou Silk Museum exhibits include over 80 traditional looms, 320 samples of silk from various dynasties, 30 bolts of ancient silk, 350 ancient garments, and a large number of samples of modern silk products. Visitors can also see live silkworms in various stages of their life cycle, as well as examples of silk embroidery and clothing.
After the tour in Suzhou, transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
Day 9 Depart Shanghai
Your private car, driver and guide will be ready and waiting at your hotel lobby to get you to the airport on time. Sit back and relax as they help you check-in and escort you to the correct security gate.
All of the tour packages exclude the international airfares. We suggest you can book it one your own. You can compare the price between OTAs (Expedia, Priceline, Sky scanner...) and the airlines. When you have a confirmed date, set alarm and compare it always.
As the China Visa, we cannot apply for you as we are an China inbound travel company. However, we can send you our invitation letter with our company's official seal to you after you booked the tour from us, which could assist you to get China Visa from China embassy easily. Usually, we suggest you to apply the visa about one month or one month and a half before your travel date.
* Most hotels we offered in our tour package have WIFI in the lobby, and some of which have WIFI in hotel rooms. If you need the WIFI in your room, please make sure with your trip advisor.
* Department stores, supermarkets, boutiques, hotel and restaurants in most cities of China do accept the credit card with the sigh of MasterCard, VISA and JCB. However, it does generate commission charge. Please check the regulations with your bank manager.

Can a 3 day visit to Taiwan be added? Can school visits be added in both China and Taiwan( like 3 in China and 1 I Taiwan)Possible departure June 4,2015
