11 Days China Tour with Yangtze River
Tour Route: Beijing, Xian, Yangtze River, ShanghaiIf you want to have an ideal experience of China not only natural but also history and cultural landscape in one tour, you should not miss this one. It covers two ancient cities of China-Beijing and Xian both as capitals of many dynasties in China history, as well as the most developed cities in modern time. Moreover, the Yangtze River Cruise will offer you a chance that you can enjoy the marvelous beauty of Yangtze River-the longest River in China. For the 11 days stay, you will climb on the Great Wall, find the Royal Palace in Forbidden City, marvel the Terracotta Army and Ancient Wall in Xian, have a over view of Yangtze River and explore the most prosperous and modernized scene of China in Shanghai.
After you arrive in Beijing, our local guide will pick you up and drive to your hotel in Beijing downtown. The rest time is free on your own.
Meals: No mealsDay 2 Beijing
A buffet breakfast & real fresh coffee will kick start your day. Your private guide will be on time and waiting in arrivals.
First stop, Tiananmen Square. It is the third largest city square in the world. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
Next visit the Forbidden City, which is 24 emperor's palace in Dynasty Ming and Qing. It is called Gu Gong in Chinese, located in the Center of Beijing. It is the ancient palace which has the largest scale, most magnificent, and best reservation in the world.
Explore the construction art and royal dignity in the largest, most beautiful and exquisite imperial garden--Summer Palace.
Free-time Ideas(Optional): Kungfu Show/Peking Opera is highly recommended in Beijing. Your guide can help you get tickets.
Meals: Breakfast, LunchDay 3 Beijing
In the morning, you take a scenic drive through the countryside and mountains to reach China's most renowned monument—Great Wall(Mutianyu section, less crowed). Take a cable car up to the Great Wall, climbing up the venerable ramparts,you will marvel at this great constructions. On the way down,those of you feeling adventurous can choose the gravity-propelled toboggan!
After a lunch stop, visit Ding Tomb, mausoleum of the 13th emperor of Ming Dynasty.
Drive back to Beijing city, have an exterior visit of Beijing Olympic Village (Bird's Nest and Water Cube).
Day 4 Beijing to Xian
In early morning visit the Temple of Heaven, the sacred altar for worshiping the God of Heaven in the world. Watch local people playing Taichi morning exercises.
Take a rickshaw ride to visit old Hutong, you can see the ancient Beijing lanes and quadrangle houses that have been preserved for 700 years, you also have a chance to visit a local family and have lunch there.
In the afternoon, be transferred to Beijing West Railway Station, your Beijing tour ends here. Take Chinese new G High Speed Train to Xian, which costs about 4.5 hours, You will have a view of the countryside between Beijing and Xian.
After arrival at Xian North Railway Station, be welcomed by our Xian guide and transfer to your hotel.
Day 5 Xian
In the morning, visit one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world-Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The terracotta warriors and horses of life size are arranged in battle formations at the museum.
After lunch, be driven back to city area to visit Ancient City Wall--the best preserved ancient city wall in China. The wall which is 12 meters high and 18 meters wide encircles the city and is perfect for panoramic view of the city.
Followed by a relaxing wandering around the bustling and lively Muslim Street, where you can taste the most famous Xian food and experience local culture.
Free-time Ideas(Optional): Enjoy the Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Dance Show.
Meals: Breakfast, LunchDay 6 Xian to Chongqing
First site to visit today is Shaanxi Historical Museum, where over 300,000 invaluable historical items are on exhibition.
After sightseeing, be transferred to Xian airport and fly to Chongqing. Be met by our Chongqing guide and take you to have half day tour of ancient town- Ciqikou. Finally,transfer you to your cruise ship. Yangtze River Cuise starts at 09:30pm.
Day 7 Yangtze River
07:30 Announcement on itinerary.
08:30-10:00 Shore excursion to Fengdu City (or Shibaozhai).
13:00-17:00 Participate activities on board.
17:30 Sailing through the Qutang gorge, the first of the Three Gorges encountered when cruising downstream along the Yangtze River, and it is the most imposing and steepest gorge among the Three Gorges.
18:00 Welcome Cocktail By Captain.
18:30 Welcome Dinner.
20:00 Singing & Dancing Concert.
Day 8 Yangtze River
08:00-10:00 Sailing through the Wu gorge, the second gorge of the Three Gorges system on the Yangtze River, the Gorge has been known as the Wu Gorge since at least the Three Kingdoms Period.
10:00-13:30 Shore Excursion For Shennong Stream (or mini three gorges), is one of the most important ports of call for Yangtze Three Gorges tour, the crystal clear and unpolluted water flows swiftly.
18:00 Farewell Dinner.
20:00 Singing & Dancing Concert.
20:00-24:00 Pass the ship locks of the Gorges Dam.
Day 9 Yichang to Shanghai
08:00-10:00 Shore Excursion For Three Gorges Dam, it is the largest hydropower station in the world with an annual energy output of 84.7 billion kilowatt-hours.
10:00-11:00 Sailing through the Xiling gorge, the longest of the three gorges that make up the Three Gorges "corridor" of the Yangtze River.
13:00 Arriving at Yichang, disembark the cruise.
After your arrival in Yichang our driver will pick you up and take you to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Arrive in Shanghai, our local guide will welcome you at airport and help you check in the hotel.
Day 10 Shanghai
Today you will taste the feature of Shanghai both "Classic and Modern". First stop is Yu Garden,which reflects a very typical southern China garden style. Jagged pavilion with elegant decoration, glittering pools with roving fish, sprouting pine trees, all these pleasant scenes refresh your mood.
Drive to Pudong New Area to explore the modern Shanghai. Visit Oriental Pearl Tower to have a bird view of Shanghai.
Lastly, enjoy a leisure walk along the Bund to appreciate the historical architecture and the skyline of this modern city along the Huangpu River.
Free-time Ideas(Optional): a night cruise on the Huangpu River to enjoy a fantastic view of Shanghai or a breathtaking Acrabatic Show.

Usually, we suggest you to apply the visa about one month or one month and a half before your travel date.

* Department stores, supermarkets, boutiques, hotel and restaurants in most cities of China do accept the credit card with the sigh of MasterCard, VISA and JCB. However, it does generate commission charge. Please check the regulations with your bank manager.
Can you arrange for us to take the Maglev train from Shanghi to the airport on the last day instead of driving?

How I can book trip if I am not sure I will have visa.

Two hours is enouth. If you really want to extend the time, you can short time of other attractions. Or Let your guide know your thoughts, she or he would satisfy your requirements.
No Meal in the classic tour of China including the yangtze river cruise. Can passengers have to eat outside or on the Yangtze reiver cruise one can eat in restaurants.
