Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal
Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal is the largest passengers cruise terminal in Shanghai. It is located at the north Bund area in Hong kou District near downtown.
The bubble-shaped glass building terminal can hold three large passenger liners of between 70,000 tons and 80,000 tons at the same time. The new and gleaming 130,000 sq m international cruise terminal, built by Shanghai International Port Group. While the design of the terminal and the pier do not pose any restrictions to the type of cruise liners that are able to berth here. The port has been designed to cope with a turnover of 1 million tourists a year. Costa Allegra (under Carnival Group) has established a homeport base at the temporary cruise terminal in the North Bund, becoming the first international cruise line to do so.
So ships larger than 87,000 tons will not get to the sparkling new terminal ( Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal), due to the low bridge on Huangpu River, and will have to berth at the scenic and relaxing terminal in Waigaoqiao, 30km from downtown Shanghai. To be on an international cruise in Shanghai, you are required to get to the terminal two hours in advence to go through the boarding procedures. Shanghai Wusongkou Cruise Ship Terminal
The Wusong estuary's advantages in depth and width will allow it to hold three or four 60,000 tons, 300-meter cruise liners at the same time. Shanghai Wusongkou Cruise Ship Terminal will provide anchorage for international cruise liners on the Huangpu River, from Wusong estuary to the Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal near the Bund.
A convergent point where the Huangpu River meets the Yangtze River, Port Wusongkou is adjacent to the Eastern Sea. Therefore, it is a place where three streams joins. The port has corresponding land transportation, commerce and entertainment facilities.
Waigaoqiao Port Cruise Terminal
Waigaoqiao Port is part of Shanghai Port and is operated by Shanghai Port Group. It is located at Waigaoqiao in Pudong New Area in Shanghai. Waigaoqiao Port lies about 7 km east to Wu Song Port, 30km from downtown Shanghai, and 85km west to the estuary of Yangtze River.

Among the three cruise terminals, the Wusongkou Cruise Terminal(Baoshan International Cruise Terminal) is the busiest port for its capacity and ideal location.
