Get a Medical Exam for your child in ahospital arranged by your adoption agent and get Immigrant Visa from Guangzhou U.S.consulate within 24 hours.

Your child will need a medical exam from anapproved health center to obtain an immigrant visa. This exam is mostconveniently conducted in Guangzhou,since you will need to go there to get the visa.

Go to the U.S.consulate in Guangzhouto complete the visa interview and obtain your child's visa. You should nowhave all the necessary documents; once the consulate has these, they will issuea visa within 24 hours.

You will also receive your child's Chinesepassport, and will get a visa stamp in it at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou.  With thebirth certificate, adoption decree, abandonment certificate, and passport, plussome ID for yourself, you will be able to get everything else you need, such asSSN, health insurance, certificate of citizenship, U.S. passport, etc.
